A Backyard Oasis

Most decorators will tell you that extending your living space to include your back yard can upscale your home and add value to your property. What better way to hang out and spend lazy summer days than on your own beautiful backyard patio or by the pool? There are many different functions you can set up your backyard to provide - for barbecuing and eating, sitting and lounging as well as recreation and activities. I love summer days, so, my backyard is set up to enjoy the sun and warm weather to the max. I love sun-drenched pergolas, stone patios and decks. But my personal favorites are wraparound  verandas   Since I grew up in a tropical climate in a country steeped in colonial influence,  verandas  hold a special spot in my heart. A home is seen from the curb by all who happen to walk or drive by. The curb appeal of a home convey's to the viewer how well the home is cared for and what to expect on the inside of the house. This is where the first impression is created and desirability is determined and this is why good curb appeal is an important element of a successful home staging project. When you hear about first impressions, we are talking curb appeal. Many factors can affect your home's curb appeal. I am a believer in the power of a great front door.
